A newly discovered class of metal-encapsulated molecules exclusive to Luna is known as TRIMETASPHERE® carbon nanomaterials. These unique molecules exist by placing up to three novel metals (such as Scandium, Lutetium, Holmium or Gadolinium) inside a molecular cage formed by up to 80 carbon atoms. Luna's molecules have the ability to encapsulate a variety of metals and each species may be used for applications exhibiting different mechanical, electrical, optical and magnetic behaviors based on end-user needs. The company's expertise in carbon nanomaterials includes synthesis, purification, functionalization and specific application development for defense and commercial requirements.
